Thanks for visiting my portfolio site! Here, you can browse various work I've completed or learn a little more about me.
A quick biography of me is that I'm from Tampa, FL. I graduated from the Art Institute of Tampa with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Game Art & Design. At the time, my interest was in 3D animation which evolved to 2D animation. Bouncing back and forth has kept me up to date with both types of animation as I'm experienced with Autodesk Motionbuilder and Toon Boom Harmony as well as some other software like 3DS Max, Blender, Animate, and overall software generalist.
I've worked for a small web/mobile game company for most of my career although it hasn't felt like it. When I started, I was a Flash animator for a web game called MechQuest and eventually learned enough programming skills to be made Game Lead where I managed a barebones team to ramp down the game at the end of its life. After that, I began dabbling in 3D animation as the company began to switch to Unity where I gained more programming knowledge using C#. Having a fair bit of programming knowledge has not only helped me with my own animations, but has allowed me to better assist the programming teams with the entire animation pipeline.
There have been many times that I had to find solutions on my own such as minimizing draw calls by combining several characters into one game object, learning how to properly make a face control setup in Motionbuilder, creating state machines to create complex animation systems, and programming my own tools to assist with complex effects that may involve character animations and particle system animations. Google and I are great friends.
Thank you again for visiting. I hope you're well.
